I have felt intuitively that it’s OK to eat infrequently….because it feels good to my body. I have also read a lot about the benefits from “intermittent fasting” which is basically keeping your food intake within a few hours of the day. But this is against conventional wisdom.
Here’s a link to a an article about a recent study showing that the old wives tale that “eating small frequent meals keeps your metabolism up” is not founded in science. In fact, there are potential negative consequences to it…it can cause inflammation (which is associated with many degenerative diseases)
